Every visit to one of our Life Centers is more than an appointment, it’s an opportunity to meet someone in a life-changing moment.
Recently, a young single mother walked in for a pregnancy test appointment at one of our Centers. She was already carrying the weight of past decisions—she is post-abortive and has been raising her young son with very little support from the father. Now facing another pregnancy, she felt overwhelmed. The father of this baby showed no signs of involvement, and she was seriously considering abortion again.
During her visit, our team listened compassionately as she shared her story. She opened up about recently converting from Christianity to Islam and the deep shame she still carried from her past. Though she had repented to God, she didn’t feel her repentance was enough. In the midst of her pain and uncertainty, she was willing to hear the Gospel. She accepted a Bible and even indicated on her exit survey that she was interested in participating in a Bible study.
We continued walking with her at an upcoming ultrasound appointment. There, she made the courageous decision to parent her baby. One of our Associate Directors had the joy of praying with this mom during one of the visits. Her five-year-old son was present and listened quietly as the Associate Director prayed for his mother, for the new baby and for wisdom in the decisions ahead.
When the prayer ended, the little boy looked up with a big smile and said, “That was a beautiful prayer.” The moment was precious!
He also asked for a Bible of his own, so staff gave him one right away. Later, the Center staff ordered a children’s Bible and gave it to his mom at a follow-up appointment. The mother was deeply touched and said with a smile, “he's going to love it.”
This family’s story reminds us that every appointment is an opportunity to show the love of Christ in practical ways! through listening ears, truthful information, prayer, and the hope found in God’s Word. What began with fear and shame is now moving toward life, healing, and new beginnings.
Thank you for standing with us through your prayers, gifts and partnership. Stories like this one are made possible because faithful supporters and church partners make it possible for our team to be there when it matters most. Lives and generations are being changed!
